What were a peasants clothes like, and how healthy were they?

Being a peasant in medieval times did not give you the opportunity to be as healthy as someone in an upper class. However, they kept as clean as the could by washing in rivers or streams.

Peasants did not have great access to great medicine, but relied on herbs and  other natural recourses to keep well.

The clothes they wore were simple and easy to work with. It was usually made by the woman of the family out of cotton or hemp. They also had straw coats and hats.
